Historic Field Cannon | PBR Game Asset

This historic field cannon 3D model is a PBR game-asset study focused on balancing recognizable artillery construction with cinematic presentation. The asset combines an aged metal barrel, weathered timber carriage, iron hardware and rugged wheel assemblies to create a believable piece of battlefield equipment. The artistic goal was to give the cannon a sense of history and weight. Warm metal tones, worn wood, dusty surfaces and atmospheric staging help the asset feel recovered from an old battlefield rather than displayed as a pristine museum object. The technical goal was to keep the hard-surface construction readable across wide and close camera angles while separating metal, timber and weathered surface layers through controlled roughness, edge wear and material variation. Wireframe and isolated views reveal the underlying modeling decisions behind the final renders.Autodesk 3ds Max was used for modeling, Adobe Substance 3D Painter for PBR materials and texturing, and Unreal Engine 5 for staging, lighting and final rendering.Explore more 3D game-art projects or contact Dream Design Studio to discuss a custom historical prop, game-ready weapon or hard-surface asset.
