Tommy Submachine Gun 3D Model | PBR Game Asset

Tommy Submachine Gun is a hard-surface 3D game asset study created to explore detailed modeling, PBR texturing, material variation, and cinematic presentation. The artistic goal was to reinterpret the recognizable silhouette with a stylized aged-brass and polished-wood finish while testing how subtle shifts in lighting, smoke, surface roughness, metalness, and base treatment change the mood of a dark scene. The technical goal was to build clean, readable geometry with carefully controlled topology, then develop believable metal and wood surfaces in Adobe Substance Painter. Nine final renders explore alternate lighting and post-production treatments, while three wireframe views and topology close-ups reveal the construction behind the finished asset. The project was modeled in Autodesk 3ds Max and textured in Adobe Substance Painter. A 54-second workflow timelapse shows the model, texture layers, material experiments, and exploded-view presentationExplore related work in our 3D portfolio, or contact Dream Design Studio to discuss a game-ready asset, hard-surface model or product visualization project.
